K-12 Programming
In Wild Welcome we offer educational materials intended to be easily localized to your regional ecosystems and class needs. To this end, our portal presents:
- Science based and NGSS compatible lesson plans for K-12 formal education.
- Multidisciplinary activities and exercises that build awareness of the many complex ways people and wildlife interact.
- Pre- and Post- lessons that connect with our film Wild Rescue, as well as free-standing lesson plans with inclusive and intentional activities that build critical thinking about human-wildlife interaction.

While it is difficult to host school groups at SBWCN, we are more than happy to come to you! We offer a variety of school presentations level appropriate for students k-12. Request a school presentation with the form below.
Current presentations:
"Rescue, Rehabilitate, Release": Introduction to the field of wildlife rehabilitation, the daily work at SBWCN, and ways to be wildlife aware.
"Wildlife Superheroes": A dive into the interesting adaptations of some of our most common patients at SBWCN. Students learn about the ways animals live amongst us and the hazards they face in a connected world.
